HTML: I'm doing it wrong.

MOOD: VERY VERY SLEEPY

Finally, I'm back with a brand new, semi-stolen layout!

As some of you might know, I'm a total n00b when it comes to html (MS Frontpage ftw!). After being deleted by my free hosts I decided to move my stuff over to blogspot and stop doing pretty little layouts.

But! I have found an ingenious way to create pretty layouts! I downloaded a template and made it my own! Hehe. I was on the right track until I got sleepy, so the sidebar and the home button have yet to be changed, but I'm too sleepy now, so bare with me as I rest before getting rid of the rest of the evidence.

And for now, my lovelies, I will share with you a picture of a duck.

Clicky for slightly bigger pic!

I made this when on a search to find some landscapes to photograph for a school assignment. But really, who cares about landscapes when there are ducks all over the place?

Oh and if you're looking for the comment button (I guess you're nawt lolol), it's now placed in the right upper corner of every post. It's heart shaped and pink, you can't miss it.

I got me these boots at Zara yesterday.

So far for my resolution not to buy anything studded out of protest. However, the buckles are detachable, so if I get absolutely frikkin sick of the things, I could always put something else on there, like a chain or whatever.

They were €40 and they're just the right height to make your legs look absolutely amazing yet they don't kill your knees and back if you run around a lot like me.

I also got a really nice black blazer with nifty shoulders, it was €20 instead of €60. It's got tiny metal thingies on the shoulders. Yeah, studs.

I couldn't help it, srsly!

YOU GUYS. My results are in!

Philosophy: 12,5/20 (I'm one of the three people in my 20-people class that passed, YAY!)
Contemporary Art: 14/20
History of Graphic Design: 14,5/20
Art History: 15/20

I'm stoked! This surely beats my shitty grades for my practical classes haha.
Cheers for the candles, the thumbs up and the crossed fingers! <3

Fun with Paint.

Fun with Paint. Yeah, the real deal, not the Windows drawing program. Holy shiz!

I was cleaning out the cupboard today and found a whole bunch of ancient jars of paint, from back in the days my brothers had "Plastic Education" in the early years of secondary school. Mind you, both of my brothers have passed the big 20. So I was checking which paint was still good for me to use so I got me a spatula, some paper and some paper towels.

And yeah, playing around was inevitable.

These aren't the originals, I took pictures of them in artificial light with my camera's flash on and then edited them in Photoshop: Levels and brightness/contrast have been altered and the paper's edges have been erased. The second two-parter consists of little bits of one painting, the size of half a page.

I forgot how much I like playing around with paint! Last time I did something realistic though was over two years ago and it turned out really well so now I'm scared whatever I'll do look like shit haha.

Oh well.

SQUEE! I think I'm in love.

This pretty little thing is €19,95 from H&M, I just have to try it on once I see it in store. Though it'll probably look immense on my dwarfyness (1,60m or 6'2.5" hell yeeeah) it's just too cute.

Lately I find myself to be very attracted to stripy things. How very nautical.
It's not like I'll be short on anchor necklaces!

Exams are over, hurray! Contemporary Art was a bitch, I don't think I've written so much pretentious crap in a 4-page exam, ever. And Philosophy, my god, 4 general questions and 20 (!!!) multiple choice questions. Jesus it was horrendous.
But, no school for the rest of the week! I've done some shopping in between studying (a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do) and this dress is one of my favourite purchases.

Go nuts here!

Can you tell I've been into dresses lately? Oh I'm desperate for summer, hence the editing. It completely obliterates the fact it was fucking snowing outside when I made this picture haha.

Anyway, I got this dress Friday, when shopping with a friend. We spent an unbelievable amount of time at Zara and New Look, fo'reals. Three hours for those two stores. And then the mall closed :c

I've been meaning to change the layout of my blog for a while now, maybe I'll get around it sometime next week. Though bare in mind, I suck with html. Does anyone have any hints on doing a neato layout?I feel like such a n00b now.

Welcome to the new decennium.

Bye bye Noughties! The decennium of fear with 9/11, anthrax, tsunamies, multiple flu pandemies, financial crises and what not, has come to an end. I'm predicting love and harmony for the next 10 years, hurray!

Anyway, I took a break from studying to blog for a moment to show you my new finds and my Christmas gifts! I went shopping yesterday and had a great time, even though the sales are a major disappointment tbh. Probably because all the good stuff is gone already. Bummer.

My precious Urban Outfitters order arrived, it's all so pretty!
And now the pictures:

My Christmas presents, Armani Diamonds (oh it smells so guuuud) and money that came in the cutest little box ever and the rug! I love getting out of bed and putting my feet on to the soft furriness instead of the cold hard floor haha.

And, the bag from Urban Outfitters. Gotten many compliments so far, even my dad loves it haha, how cool is that? It was originally £48 and I understand why. Even though it's faux leather, it's got such a nice texture and it looks so luxurious in real life, oh my!
The T-strap flats were a total bargain at €9 at New Look (where I got into a disagreement with a sales rep haha. Jesus people are unfriendly, if I would've snapped at a customer like that back in the days I worked at UO I'd get kicked out, pronto). They'll come in handy in spring/summer, as I need some comfy shoes to wear with dresses and skirts.

Now, back to the books! So far your thumbs up have worked, History of Graphic Design was seriously one of the easiest exams I have ever done and Art History was ok, so hurray for you guys!

Wish me luck.

MOOD: BORED

Okay so I'm guessing I won't be here much in the next two weeks because I have exams, starting monday. First up is History of Graphic Design, which I gotta get right because there won't be a second exam. Next semester, I'll have Literature instead (which is a YAY imo). Wednesday I have Art History and holy mother of god, I wish I had prepared this better. Friday I'll have to tackle Contemporary Art, which isn't all that bad, and I'll probably go shopping afterwards haha, because the sales have started in Belgium and I'm stuck at home with textbooks for friends. Then tuesday I'll have Philosophy and hell, that's going to be a tricky one.
And then I'm off for the rest of the week! Oh how I am looking forward to that.

So, exucse the incoherent mess above, as I quit Safari and go study.

Light a candle, pray to god or hold your thumbs up: I really need to get this right.
