Feb. 25: I'll be the corpse in your bath tub.

MOOD: TORN

I haven't been around much in the past week and even now I only have a boring text-only blog for you. We had mexican week at school and the past two days involved drawing from 10 in the morning till dinner time. It was productive, yet very tiring.

But that's not the real reason I've been away. Monday I finished things with my on and off boyfriend of seven months. Finished it in the-shot-of-mercy-straight-into-a-dying-deer's-brains way. I had to. We never had a chance anyway.

Anyway. I've had two questions so I'll just answer them before I fall asleep after two days of intensive creative activities.

"I really, really, really love your hair. If it's not too rude, can I ask how you style it?"
Well, thanks! My hair's naturally wavy like that, but it's not like I roll out of bed with a perfect hairdo. The trick is to use good products (I use hair dressers' products, they're not exactly cheap but I use like two €15 bottles per year) and to blow dry upside down. Not very convenient haha but you get used to it.

"hey, just wanted to ask if there were any fashion rules you follow? what things would you never wear?"
Never say never. I don't like to exclude certain items for eternity, but I do have this thing against overly colour coordinated outfits. I like colour coordinating with it's done subtly, not like black pants, red top, red belt, red nails, red earrings, red lips, red shoes. In fact, it doesn't stop at colour. Studded boots, studded bracelet, studded bag, studded jacket... I own those things as well, I just don't wear it all at once.
Oh, and polo shirts. I really don't like them, not on girls and not on guys.

If you have a question to ask, feel free. Drop it in a comment or through formspring here in the right column.

And to finish off, some very wise words:

Sometimes love isn't about how much someone suits you,
but how much you're willing to change to suit them.

EEP, I received my top in the mail. I love it so, even though it's slightly small in the bosom area, but that's okay, I can live without the whole breathing thing.

Also, my book on Graphic Design arrived so I got me some reading to do! Thank you very much Mr. Mailman.

Next week will be entirely dedicated to ¡Que viva Mexico!, a 1932 film that should inspire us for a drawing marathon. That's right, two times 12 hours of drawing.
OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
I just hope it won't be all too bad haha.

In other news, I haven't heard about the job since they emailed me saying I qualified to go to the next round (and I couldn't help but hear a DING DING and a computer voice saying 'ROUND TWO' - I have played far too many video games in my life), so I'm guessing I'm too old and thus too expensive for the job. Alas!

Feb. 16: A moment, a love.

MUSIC: (500) DAYS OF SUMMER SOUND TRACK (AGAIN)
MOOD: YAY

So ever since I watched 500 Days of Summer, I can't stop listening to the sound track. Especially The Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition is awesomely amazing. It breathes sunshine, especially if you've seen the movie. (Which you SHOULD.)

Anyway, I got a haircut yesterday. My hair dresser managed to cut off all the unhealthy bits and my fringe with minimal loss of length, which is awesome, because I'm saving up for lots of very, very long hair.

I also went shopping but barely bought anything, just some nail polish, a ring and a scarf.

New hair and scarf from Pull & Bear for just €4,95 in sale. Yay! It's huge, with some pins in it, it could easily double as a dress and it drapes oh so beautifully. I'm in love.

Catrice Nude Sensation polishes, €1,99 each, and ring from H&M Divided for €4,95.

And last but not least, I randomly applied for a job! Back in my non-single days I didn't want to work because then I'd literally have no time at all for school (hah, priorities) but now that I'm as free as a bird, I thought OH HEY WHY NOT?
Fingers crossed!

Have a great day you guys!

Happy Valentine's everyone! I hope everyone had a fine day. I myself am as single as can be, Cupid isn't exactly my best friend. (That little faggot keeps shooting the wrong guys.)

Anyway, I had another one of my PJ Sundays so I basically just watched some DVDs, did some homework etc. But! I also got me this super pretty top slash dress from H&M.

I got it off eBay, it's brand new with tags and I can't wait to try it on. I really really hope it'll fit me man. It would look so nice with some dark blue skinnies, my beloved oxfords and brown bag. Yay!

Hurry up Mr. Mailman D:

PS: I added formspring in the right collumn, so basically the idea is that you can drop comments/insults/questions and it's completely anonymous.
I just realised you can comment anonymously as well. But heh, knock yourself out :D

MOOD: SLIGHTLY SLEEPY

After a year of wearing nothing but silver jewelry, my favourite bag pretty much forces me to go back to gold. Reason? It has a gold chain strap. Dammit. Besides that, I have lots and lots of gold necklaces that are going to waste. Darn shame.

So I've been drooling over these bracelets for a while.

The turquoise, the coral, the jade, oh I want them all. Alas, with prices ranging from €30 to €50, I'll have to keep looking. I've already gone through ebay and etsy and so far I have nothing. DIY perhaps? (If only I didn't have two left hands.)

I managed to get a half-decent picture of my awesome blazer from Zara that I got for €20 in sale. I've been having the weakest light in my room lately so I apologize for the darkness of the picture.

Also, an open letter to Spring:

Dear Spring,

Please hurry the fuck up. We're tired of the snow already.
Kthnx.

In other news, my week off started and first thing I should do is make a list of all the school work I got to finish! Oh oh oh why is school so madly time-consuming? I need a break from school break, seriously!
Ugh I guess I'll start. No more Season 6 E.R. episodes for me tonight.

PS: Welcome to all the new readers :) For those unfamiliar with my wacky system (blame the lack of html knowledge), my comment button is way up in the right upper corner of this post. The big pink heart, you can't miss it.

Have a good weekend, my lovelies!

Insert witty title here.

I can't seem to come up with a catchy title for today's blog.

I've been a bit of a sad panda lately (oh you know, the ups and downs of life), so I'm cheering myself up with some happy music (no more The Smiths for a while now), ice cream and days off of school. Not to mention shameless drooling over nice male creatures. Yum.

Whilst participating in this large variety of exciting activities (you know, everything but fixing this damn layout), I do wear clothes. So I decided to take a picture for you.

I'm in an incredibly corny mood today so I'm going to stop typing now.

Until next time, my lovelies!

What kind of weird stuff do you carry in your bag?

MUSIC: THE SMITHS
MOOD: SLIGHTLY BORED

Okay so I do have one more thing to mention today.

I got this assignment called "What's in your bag?" and I basically have to fill 16 pages about things people carry in their bags.

I've chosen to work with awkward, weird things people drag along with them, and the stories behind those items.

For example, I used to carry around a map of Reus, a city in Spain, because I once had a summer love that lived there - We met at this camping, and when I went back home we exchanged emails and decided to meet again the year after. He didn't show up even though he promised he would and I was completely bummed. A few days later I was at this tourist center and I saw a map of Reus, and I took it with me (it was a handout, I didn't steal anything haha). I don't know why, I just did.

I already posted this on the Elle Girl forum (where pretty much 75% of my visitors come from, HAI!) as well as the lookbook forum, so if this sounds familiar, yes that is very possible.

Anyway, don't be afraid to elaborate, I have to fill 16 pages and I've got some really funny, interesting and moving stories so far, so that has really upped the standards.
Please do share, and who knows your story will end up in the book we'll be making at the end of the year! (Mentioning your first name and location is optional.)

Another school related post.

Yes yes, again. Loyal readers will probably remember my post about the zebra I drew. Well, the zebra related assignments just kept on coming. So I got two more.

Clicky for slightly bigger pic!

I didn't quite like the first one with the hands ("A small gift from Mother Nature"), basically because I don't have airbrushing skills and I was too lazy to take out the flash and everything just for a quick shot of my hands. And yeah the zebra is very copy-paste haha. Oh well, they should teach us otherwise.

I love my second try though ("Antwerp has more to offer than you think"). Professor didn't.
Professor has no sense of humor.

Anyway, that's pretty much all I wanted to share today, haha.
